In 2015-2016, Cashew exports decreases by 21 percent in quantity and 11 percent in value at 94,150 tonnes values at Rs. 4850 crore as compared to 5431 crore valued cashew exported during 2014-2015 owing to higher prices and shortage of raw cashew nuts. India imports over 60 percent of its raw cashew requirement for processing.
