As a measure to sustain the domestic cardamom industry and also control on the large scale import of inferior quality of cardamom (both small and large), the Spices Board has taken up with the Department of Commerce for imposing minimum import price. Permitting import of cardamom not below the CIF value of Rs 500 per kg.
