Exports of cardamom do not take place as it used to be in significant volumes corresponding to our production. The average price at the 12 auctions held every week in Kerala and Tamil Nadu hovers around Rs 600 per kg. The total output for the current season, given the upsurge trend so far, is estimated at over 30,000 tonnes.
