Cardamom prices declined on slack demand at the auctions held last week in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Arrivals were at moderately higher levels but the upcountry buyers have slowed down. Apprehensions about the possible arrival of low quality Guatemala cardamom at the North Indian markets at lower rates have also created a bearish sentiment.
