Cardamom| A sharp decline in arrivals at the auctions

A sharp decline in arrivals at the auctions held in Kerala and Tamil Nadu kept the cardamom prices firm last week. Domestic demand is firm while availability of good quality produce is limited. Traders are active in anticipation of a delay in the arrival of the next crop. Next crop is expected to be less and likely to hit the market only by next month end.
