Indian black pepper production is projected to decline to 53,000 tonnes in 2016 from 65,000 tonnes in 2015. Global production during the crop year of 2016 is estimated to increase by a marginal 6,000 tonnes mostly on higher production in Vietnam, this is according to the reports of the 43rd annual meet of International Pepper Community (IPC).
