Global black pepper production during 2016 is projected at 413,710 metric tonne as compared to the current year’s estimate of 4,07,155 metric tonne (MT), International Pepper Community (IPC) said. Export estimate for the current year has been pegged at 292,410 MT while the carry forward stock from 2015 to 2016 is likely to be 73,497 MT.
