At Kochi market, black pepper prices were moved up on account of tight supplies. Only nine tonnes of pepper were traded as there were limited sellers. Spot prices went up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 64,100 (ungarbled) and Rs 67,100 (garbled). Export prices were at around $10,500 per tonne for Europe and $10,750 for the US.
