Dystopia or the inevitable doom that looms over the head of our future has been scaring the life out of us for quite some time now. As long as we are on the path to pulp up Earth’s natural resources, this unsettling thought will be on our heads. But is it true also true that to get the complete picture you need to step back and get the complete view. One need to look beyond what is good and what is bad to predict the future, our future.

And our future, in practical terms, may not be that bright but there is enough room for us to make it into a sustainable one. Obviously we have all the indicators like melting ice sheets in Arctic region, prevailing El Nino, Temperature shooting up like a bullet in 2015, that show the future we are heading to mind not be a bring one. But we have ensured that we can take step back to safer and sustainable future.

Here are 5 factors that may be the founding stone of a sustainable future where our children can live freely.

Cheaper Solar Energy

Solar Power price have shot down tremendously in the last 5 to 7 years. The rates have fallen from $6.3 per watt in 2007 to $3.1 in 2014. The fall has managed to attract more and more users to install this energy efficient and reusable energy source. "The sun could be the world's largest source of electricity by 2050," the International Energy Agency says. The Earth is becoming hot and hot, it is up to us how to make the most of it. China aligns with the world to make the world a better place

When one of the superpowers of the world is not doing anything towards the betterment of the environment then why would the rest of the world do it? Well that is not case anymore with China, aligning with the rest of the world as China is taking steps to clean up its air. A five-year plan was announced by the country earlier this year that states that China will do more to cut its pollution than previously thought. The World Resources Institute in a blog post said that, “With China's new target for an 18% reduction in carbon-intensity from 2015 levels, we estimate that China will actually reduce its carbon intensity 48% from 2005 levels by 2020,"

China has a paradox wrapped around its neck, on one hand it is the biggest annual polluter of the atmosphere and on the other it is the world’s largest clean energy market. Image Credit: Telegraph

Finally the Paris Agreement is a major step forward to make the world a last longer than ever

December 2015 was the time when more than 190 nations of the country joined hands together and pledged to tackle the world’s most dangerous problem: Climate Change.
