Warm and humid weather likely in Delhi during the Independence Day celebrations

August 14, 2012 6:25 PM |

New Delhi, Tuesday, August 14,  The weather in New Delhi, the national capital is likely to be warm and humid during the independence day celebrations. In the morning, when flags would be hoisted, weather will be cool and comfortable but as the day progresses, an increase in temperature will make the day warm and humid. The humidity level will be around 88 percent, which suggests an uncomfortable afternoon for the people celebrating the Independence Day.

A few spells of passing rain/thundershowers would also occur during the day. Showers may happen occasionally in parts of the city. The maximum temperature can rise up to 33 degree Celsius while the minimum will be around 25-26 degree Celsius. The sky will partly cloudy to cloudy.

Rain would occur over Delhi and NCR as the low pressure area over east Rajasthan and adjoining northwest Madhya Pradesh is being fed the southwesterly moisture laden winds.

Last year, the national capital had witnessed much more pleasant weather when the maximum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees and the minimum at 25 degrees.
