However, now, the weather conditions are expected to change, and the layer of fog is likely to thin down over many parts of the states.

Due to presence of a tropical jet stream over Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar region, the surface wind speed will be strengthening over these areas. Thus, due to the prevalence of strong winds will cause in the weakening of fog layer over both Uttar Pradesh and Bihar after a while.

However, shallow to moderate fog will occur during next 24 hours. Thereafter, fog layer is expected to abate. These strong winds will prevail during next three days or so, thereafter becoming light.

Thus, day temperatures will slightly increase due to clear sky conditions. Meanwhile, night temperatures may fall marginally during the same time period. Due to these strong and cold winds, the feels like will be much less than the actual minimum which is why the chill will be felt across the region.

Meanwhile, dense fog will continue along the foothills of Himalayas over North Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, as winds will be weaker over these places.
