As per weather forecasters, the weather conditions over UAE are likely to become unstable from Friday until Monday. Rain and thunder is in store for the region.

These rains can be attributed to an extended surface depression and upper air low pressure with a cool air mass from the north. The two weather systems are likely to strengthen by Saturday until Monday, giving scattered rain and thunderstorm over different parts of the country.

With gradual increase in clouding, rainfall will commence over the region from Friday, particularly over the northern and eastern regions and islands such as Sharjah, Fujairah, Dubai and Al-Ain.

Moderate easterly-northeasterly winds will blow over the region that may freshen at times over the sea, especially with cloud activity.

Furthermore, these winds may lead to rising of dust and sand that could cause visibility to worsen over the exposed areas.

Consequently, people are advised to stay cautious while driving in the wake of rains and poor visibility conditions. Also avoid venturing near the highlands as strong water currents may wash off anything in its path.

The sea conditions are likely to remain rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea during this period.
