The severe weather conditions across the UAE continued to bother the country on Monday as well. Thunder and lightning along with rains and hails struck some parts of the UAE yesterday afternoon and is anticipated to continue through Tuesday with the weather conditions stabilizing to some extent.

On Monday, most parts of the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah are expected to remain dry, the eastern and the coastal areas are likely to witness the varied intensity of showers, reducing by the afternoon.

On Saturday too, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Jebel Jais – the UAE’s highest mountain – and Dibba Al Fujairah recorded extremely heavy rains that turned the roads into a pond of water.

Though, it seems that the residents of this Middle East Nation are relishing these heavy showers. The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE was in Jebel Jais at 5.3 degree Celsius. Even the crown prince of the UAE shared a picture of heavy rains on twitter.

As per the NCM, National Center of Meteorology, rain, and thunderstorm are predicted to continue in most parts between December 15 and 18. Moderate to fresh winds are expected to blow over the land which may lead to dust rise. The sea is likely to remain rough to very rough which is why people are expected not to venture into the sea at least until Monday.
