Since the last many days, the weather conditions over Pakistan remained cold and dry. However, isolated drizzle or light rain is observed in few divisions of the country during the last 24 hours such as Bahawalpur and Multan.

Winter has already set in over Pakistan. This is more apparent due to settling of mercury on the lower side.

Further, we can expect rain and thundershowers during the next 24 to 48 hours over lower and mid regions of the country such as Jhelum, Sargodha, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad. Additionally, snowfall activity over the higher reaches at scattered places in Saidu Sharif, Kakul, Balakot, Peshawar and Zhob can be experienced. Remaining parts of the country would continue to witness cold and dry weather.

These predicted rain and snowfall activity could be attributed to a fresh Western Disturbance that is to approach Pakistan. This system will influence the weather over the country. Sky conditions will remain cloudy.

While days will remain humid, nights will be chilled. Cold day conditions are likely to be seen in parts of northern and adjoining Central Pakistan.
