Four inch snowfall freezes Murree, more on cards

Murree is a real blessing from God to the people of Pakistan. It is a beautiful hill station which is situated on the boundary of Pakistan. The blend of sights such as, mountains covered with snow, valleys with fog, forests with heavy green trees and the pleasant weather, make Murree a perfect place for travelers to seek in.

Talking about the weather conditions over Murree in the past 24 hours, the region along with its suburbs has been witnessing intermittent snowfall since last night.

Four inches of snow has already been recorded in the area and it is anticipated that the cold winds will continue to prevail over the region in the coming week.

Neelum Valley, Nikyaal and nearby areas have been incessantly recording rain and light snowfall, while Nanga Parbat, Batuga and Babusar Pass are also receiving rain and snowfall.

The heavy snowfall that occurred in Shardah Kel Taobat has shut down the road leading towards it, whereas disruption in electricity is witnessed in Nakyal and suburbs in the wake of heavy rainfall.

As per weather forecasters, more rain and thunderstorm with snowfall over the higher reaches is expected at scattered places of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, upper plains of Punjab and Islamabad over the next 24 hours.
