Foggy mornings for Lahore, Multan, Sialkot continue, mercury to drop

Winter has already set its foot over most parts of Pakistan that have already been witnessing foggy mornings. The temperatures are already witnessing a declining trend in most parts of the country which is the clear indication that the chilly weather has arrived in Pakistan.

In fact, the higher reaches of the country such as Dir, and Chitral even recorded the minimums below the zero-degree mark. In the last 24 hours, the minimums recorded by Dir was-1.4°C and Chitral recorded -2.3°C. Quetta and Kalat also recorded the minimums at -1.9°C and -5.6°C respectively.

Mist/ Haze or shallow fog has been reported in parts of the country on early Wednesday morning. Sialkot recorded shallow fog with the visibility dropping to less than 1 km. Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad also observed a shallow foggy morning. Though Sukkur recorded moderate fog.

As per Skymet Weather, the similar weather is anticipated to prevail in Pakistan for the next 2-3 days. Thereafter, on November 25 or 26, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to approach the country that will give over the northern provinces of the country such as over the North Punjab and Peshawar region. Islamabad may also witness partly cloudy sky, however; Lahore and Karachi are expected to remain dry.

Sky over Lower Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain clear. The night temperatures will remain cold and chilly over parts of Balochistan, North Punjab, and North-West Frontier Province. The day will remain comfortable.
