Today morning, the weather over Karachi, which remained cold and dry since last many days, went pleasant in the wake of light drizzle that occurred over parts of the region.

These rains could be attributed to a trough which is extending from south central Pakistan to western parts of South Sindh.
These rains brought some bliss to the people; however they also had to face some snags. Some vehicles experienced accidental skidding due to slippery roads caused by the light rains in numerous parts of the city.
An astounding view of the beautiful sunrise lit up the skyline, which was filled with a golden light. This was due to the cold that intensified with the drizzle.

Few of the regions that recorded the drizzle are, Shahrah-e-Faisal, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Malir and DHA.
As per meteorologists, light drizzle is likely to continue for the next 24 hours though heavy rains are ruled out from the city.
Apart from Dubai, more rain and thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa such as Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan and Kohat divisions, FATA, upper Punjab including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions, and Islamabad over the next 24 hours. Hailstorm in parts is also expected.
