Wheat crop is physiologically at maturity stage in the key producing states of the country. Harvesting, drying and threshing activities are in peak stage in the northern part ofIndia. Wheat crop was recently adversely affected by untimely heavy rains and hailstorms in the two key producing states (Maharashtraand Madhya Pradesh).
