Sowing is being carried out in most parts of the country; there is adequate moisture in the soil. Prevailing weather is congenial for the sowing and germination of the crop in Western UP, Punjab and Haryana. Area under wheat has been on the rise in MP this year. Sowing expected to gain pace further as and when winter firmly sets in over northern India.
