Sowing is being carried out in most parts. Adequate moisture in the soil is available due to delayed withdrawal of the southwest monsoon. Prevailing weather is good for the sowing in West UP, Haryana andPunjab. Sowing has started in MP under favourable weather. Sowing is expected to further gain pace as and when winter firmly sets in over northern India.
