Main Rabi crop Wheat is suffered in Maharashtra due to untimely heavy rains during the last few days particularly in Vidarbha, Khandesh and Marathwada regions. Wheat crop is at maturity and harvesting stage in Maharashtra. Maharashtra state government is planning to give compensation to the farmers through Rabi crop insurance scheme.
