Grain buyers in parts of the United States mid-west have begun imposing discounts on arrivals of freshly harvested soft red winter Wheat that show evidence of head scab disease, according to the cash traders. Scab, also known as Fusarium head blight, is not uncommon when the weather is cool and wet during flowering stage.
