Rains due to cyclone Phailin may affect the legume in parts of MP,Maharashtra, north Karnataka and Andhra. Crop is in grand growth to pod formation stage and is in healthy state in central and southern parts due to normal rains. Picking of pods started in some pockets but is affected in places where rainy weather is prevailing. Excess moisture will pose problem to the crop.
