Turmeric prices increased in spot markets due to higher demand and arrivals of the new crop. Turmeric futures edged down on arrivals from the new season crop and large carry-forward stocks. Many traders ofNorth Indiaare placing orders in Erode market instead of Nizamabad and Sangli, which is stated to be the best in quality.
