Turmeric prices at Erode spot market dropped as demand from North India was slack. Prices in Erode market are low compared with Nizamabad. At Erode, polished quality Turmeric is available at Rs 6500-7000 per quintal, whereas unpolished turmeric costs at Rs 6500 in Nizamabad. Buyers have to spend minimum Rs 500 to polish the produce.
