Turmeric futures fell more than 3 percent on large stocks, new season supply and weak overseas demand. Sowing of Turmeric in Andhra Pradesh for the year 2013-14 season is reported at about 0.53 lakh hectares, as against 0.68 lakh hectares last year. Excessive rains may impact productivity in Tamil Nadu and AP which could provide support to turmeric future.
