Spot turmeric prices decreased at Erode city of Tamil-Nadu due to inferior quality and also cheaper availability of the produce at other states. Only medium and fine quality turmeric was purchased by the traders. Spot turmeric prices were down Rs 100 per quintal. Many upcountry traders have procured turmeric from Andhra Pradesh and Assam states.
