Sowing of Turmeric in Andhra Pradesh for the 2013-14 season is reported at 0.53 lakh hectare, as against 0.68 last year. Excessive rains may impact productivity in Tamil Nadu and AP which could provide support to Turmeric futures.Indiaproduced 45 lakh bags of Turmeric in 2012-13, representing a fall of 40-50% on annual basis.
