No scarcity for the Turmeric produce this year and this year, harvest may touch 45 lakh bags, of which Tamil Nadu’s share will be 7 to 8 lakh bags. Currently, in addition to new crop, farmers have a stock of 25 lakh bags with them. During 2013, the area under Turmeric decreased to 5,000-odd acres against the normal 12,000 acres.
