Sugar prices ruled steady at the Vashi market on the back of ample supply and limited local demand. Upcountry demand, especially from eastern, southern and centralIndia, is lacking for long. Arrivals at the Vashi market declined to 55-56 truckloads. Vashi spot rates for S-grade Rs 3030-3162 and M-grade Rs 3200-3285 per quintal.
