Sugar prices at the Vashi wholesale market ruled slightly higher on the back of renewed retail demand amid firm mill tender rates, according to the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association. Indian sugar futures marginally fell due to some weakness in the demand as monsoon typically cools demand for ice-cream and soft drinks.
