Indian Sugar futures traded up on short covering amid expectations that domestic demand would rise in the second half of the year in the absence of any sops to exports. Sugar futures are expected to open up in the next session. InMaharashtra, Sugar output was down 2 percent at 7.65 million tonnes (MT), against 7.81 MT last year.
