The Agriculture Ministry has pegged the shortage of certified and quality Soybean seeds at 69616 tonnes across the India. The Government has estimated Soybean output for 2013-14 at 11.94 million tonnes, lower than previous year’s 14.66 million tonnes. Soybean prices were Rs 4200-4500 per quintal at major spot markets inNorth India.
