The crop has been harvested at many places whereas it is being harvested in some places. Earlier expected favorable conditions were dented due to above normal rainfall received during a critical yield development stage. Therefore, despite the 14 per cent increase in sowing this year, production per hectare has declined 16 per cent from 2012.
