Higher coverage has been reported from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. The delay in sowing is attributed to late harvest of kharif crop. Wheat sowing acreage has gained momentum in major producing areas as UP and MP.  Current weather is congenial for the sowing and germination of the wheat crop in Western UP, Punjab and Haryana.
