Thailand government is negotiating to sell between 6 lakhs tonnes and 8 lakhs tonnes of 5 percent broken white Rice to Malaysia, a deal that traders forecast will have to be priced substantially below market rates if it is to be clinched. Thai rice this year fetching rates below Vietnamese Rice prices for the first time in the last two decades.
