Thai exporters raise 2014 year’s rice export forecast to approximate 9 million tonnes. The Thai Rice Exporters Association said it expects the country to export approximate 9 million tonnes of rice this year (2014), 20 percent more than it previously estimated. The absence of a state intervention scheme helps to bring down bloated prices.
