Paddy was sown on area of 0.73 lakh hectares marginally higher that last year’s 0.64 lakh hectares in India. India’s total acreage for Rabi crop stands at 314.24 lakh hectares, higher when compared to the 294.31 lakh hectares recorded during the same period last year, according to the data released by the Ministry of Agriculture.
