India has now emerged as the world’s top Rice exporter. A good monsoon along with improved sowing of both Kharif (summer) and Rabi (winter) Paddy crops have improved the prospects of a better food grains production this year. The country is likely to achieve record 263.2 million tons food grains production this year, Farm Minister said.
