Heavy rain badly affected Paddy crop at harvesting stage in parts of AP, Odissa, WB and many places in Bihar, Jharkhand and Vidarbha. Heavy rains with wind speed of about 150 kmph will not be good at this stage of the crop. In north India crop has reached anthesis to grain formation stage. Prevailing weather is positive. In south Paddy has reached panicle initiation to grain formation stage.
