As there was no significant rainfall in north eastern states farmers are applying irrigation to avoid moisture stress. In some parts the crop is at transplanting stage whereas in other parts it is being sown at this time. In UP paddy is at vegetative growth stage. Weather is favourable in this part. Paddy is in various stages in Kerala. No major pests and diseases reported from the state.
