Increasingly harsh drought conditions in the United States Midwest’s Maize belt may take a serious toll on Maize yields over the next half-century, according to the research published in the journal "Science". Corn yields could drop by 15 to 30 per cent, according to the paper. US contribute major share in global corn production.
