In present high temperatures farmers are advised to give irrigation in Maize crop at the time of evening when the velocity of wind is low. In present hot weather condition leaf blight and sucking pest (aphids and mites) incidence was observed in few parts on summer Maize crop. Bihar is the major summer Maize producing state in India.
