In Assam crop has attained tasseling and silking stage and as maize crop is more critical to moisture and nutrient stress, timely application of irrigation and fertilizer can give better yield. Maize in Bihar is in good condition but due to dry weather for last few days the crop may need second dose of irrigation along with application of nutrients.
