Jeera (cuminseed) sowing is moving up well in major jeera growing areas in India. Around 70% of the sowing has already been realized at major jeera growing regions in Gujarat, Rajasthan and other states. Jeera production in this season is projected to be around 40-42 lakh bags , up approximately 5-7 lakh bags year-on-year basis.
