Demand for Jeera (Cumin seed) is not improving as expected because the area under cultivation is expected to expand and crop prospects looked better, said a trader from Unjha. Spot Jeera fell Rs 40 to Rs 12,800 per quintal at Unjha market. Futures fell due to weak local demand, good progress of sowing and favourable weather.
