Groundnut crop in Orissa reached flower initiation stage. Farmers completing hoeing and weeding at this stage. Farmers also practice light earthing up for better penetration of pegs. In Andhra groundnut is at flowering to pegging. Weather prevailing in the region is satisfactory. There are reports of Spodoptera and Sucking pests in Andhra which needs farmer’s attention.
