The United States Department of Agriculture estimated India’s production for 2013-14 season beginning August 1st to be 37.14 million (170 kg each). According to this estimate,India’s production for this year has not changed much as against the last season’s (2012-13) production of 36.5 million cotton bales of 170 kilogram each.
