The Indian government agencies and various trade associations have estimated a record high output this year citing good rains and favorable climatic conditions in major cotton growing regions. Cotton Association of India (CAI) has projected cotton production for 2013-14 at 376 lakh bales as against 356.75 lakh bales last year.
