Cotton production is expected to be higher this year by approximately 7% than previous years. Cotton is at harvesting stage at most of the areas and picking process is going on manually in clear and sunny environment. There was some delay in arrival of cotton due to late rains but the moisture has been proved beneficial to the overall cotton crop yield.
